Common rules for the table plan
When creating your table plan, there are a few common rules to keep in mind. It obviously depends on what event you are going to hold, but here are some of the most important rules when you have to make your table plan:
- Families with small children should sit close to the exit, so that they can easily leave the place and e.g. go to the toilet when necessary
- Elderly or disabled guests should also sit close to the exit
- In many cases, guests who do not know each other should not sit next to each other (this one is highly debated, but if you want to be absolutely sure that your guests will have a great party, it can be a risk to put together guests who don't know each other)
- If possible, try to place guests with common interests next to each other
